Hello, I am a relatively new member of Unsilenced Voice and I wanted to express some concerns I had about the website. I joined after seeing an advertisement on Mr. Obvious' Youtube channel and thought it would a be a good community to be a part of. While I think all of the content is pretty good, this website could use some work.
While I understand this website is meant to be directly counter to left-wing controlled social media sites like Twitter, I feel like too much of this website's content is political in nature (please hear me out). Despite being set-up for more than just political topics (which is good forward thinking), I don't feel like many users are taking advantage of this. Some users have uploaded more than just right wing material and I've noticed that they tend to get more interaction because of the relatively different opinions people still have while being right wing in their politics. The political content does get interaction, but the comment sections tend to be a bunch of people sort of agreeing with each other about whatever was posted (with some exceptions being made to that one horseshoe guy).
Tumblr works as an indoctrination ground for leftists because it has content that can appeal to everyone while sprinkling in leftist talking points. Like taking a pill with water so that your body can more easily swallow it. 4Chan works on a similar principle, especially since /pol/'s talking points have leaked onto other boards not associated with politics. I know I started browsing 4Chan because of the funny greentexts I'd find on iFunny back when I used to browse there in middle school.
I don't think this website was just meant to be a normie conversion ground. It was meant to be a website for conservatives to post about whatever they felt like without being discriminated by leftist moderators. However, exclusively posting about politics is only going to pigeon hole Unsilenced Voice's content and lead to a slow death. While somethings can be interesting to read, there's only so much right wing literature I can read part of, realize I already agree with it, and move onto the next similar post. It's only a matter of time before plenty of people just get bored with all of the conspiracy theories and move on.
I recognize that you're supposed to be the change you want to see. And to that end, I'm going to try and post content in relation to topics other than politics. I hope that others can understand my points and try to post more diverse content.
If you disagree with me, great! I've always asked people who review my content to 'criticize my work as if you hate me and everything I stand for'.
TL;DR: I'm getting bored of just right wing political posting, so I'm going to post stuff other than right wing political posting and hope people follow suit.
